Runkeeper on Pebble 2 (or an alternative)

I have the original Pebble and still have the Runkeeper app on my phone at the last version that supported Pebble (v9.11.2 if I remember correctly).

Now I’ve the new Pebble it’s disappointing but not surprising to see this functionality doesn’t work regardless of Runkeeper version.

The earlier versions of Runkeeper do launch the activity tracker on the new Pebble but nothing else, the timer doesn’t start (though it does in Runkeeper on the phone) and the watch buttons do nothing.

I’ve tried looking and can’t see a nice watch app for running, cycling, swimming, etc. I really like the original Pebble’s simple layout of key data in a large font.

The closest I’ve found is on the forum here ( Is anyone interested in a GPS tracking app that can be controlled directly from a Pebble smartwatch? - #3 by B_D ). It looks promising but the author has hit a blocker on the companion app side.

PS If anyone has any suggestions for an alternative I’m happen to switch platforms on my phone

I’ve had my pebble for ~4 weeks now… I also switched last week to grapheneOS on my Pixel 6a. Strava does not work at all. Runkeeper is fine, but of course, as you say, no support. I think that there is an integration API/SDK for each that we’d have to use to connect the trackers to Pebble. Probably it’s a Service Intent. I intend to look deeper at this in the next weeks, as I have some other Android work to do. No promises, but very happy to collaborate
