Pebble Time 2 Request: Larger System font

Before my PT2 arrived, I wore my OG, P Steel, and P2 around, just to ground myself in what I loved about the originals. (I’m a Product Designer by trade and believe in always staying true to the core of what makes things great).

There are two things I noticed when I got my PT2, and both are due to the higher resolution eink display. The most egregious to my older eyes is the size of the font of the OS. The best feeling out of my older ones is the orginal, and the P2 is almost too small…and the PT2, yeah, it’s tiny.

I’d love to have an option to increase the font size of the menu items in the OS.

The other is that I LOVE and have loved the Sliding Text watchface. But I can REALLY tell the resolution difference on eink. I’d love someone to update that watchface to be more crispy.

I have the same problem with the System font being too small. There is an option to change the font for Notifications and I would like the same option for the System font. I am a senior citizen and I have cataracts so this would be a big help.

Agreed - I love that it’s sharper, but my eyes aren’t!

I’m not, but I’d like an overall increase in size too ! Replying to a message with an Emoji just shows a grid of invisibly small icons, for instance.

ABSOLUTELY. I am honestly surprised this is not been done in all of the years of pebble?? God bless young eyesight!!

Absolutely. I have a desktop magnifier I use while getting familiar with the settings. This issue made me wonder what the return policy is… but I know this is an evolving product.

I added myself to this petition; I was a user of Pebble since they were created, saw them die, then resurrect, and waited 8 months after payment for my watch, just to discover I can’t see the small letters under the menu without my glasses on. The Pebble OS may not have changed, but my eyes had, and there’s no setting to make it bigger.

Furthermore, this is the reason 90% of the apps are useless for me, and probably this is true not only for the eyes-strained users, but also for the users who wanted to have a Pebble as a minimalist device that keeps us away from our phone distractions, getting into the phone just the information necessary to get notified or selected messages, and maybe producing the minimal response. Can this petition become not just a new feature but a design philosophy?
