Hello… I’m a long time pebble user (still have my pebble time and time steel) and recently received my pebble time 2. First off, let me say that I am happy that you guys brought the watch back and I appreciate all of the work you’ve done and continue to do.
With that said, after using a Garmin instinct 3 solar (MIP) and casio dwh5600, I’m a little disappointed in the fact that some basic things haven’t been addressed to make use of the bigger screen and higher resolution. The biggest issue is that the system menu fonts are way too small, to the point where it’s incredibly difficult to know what you’re adjusting in certain lighting scenarios. There should be an option to increase the system menu font size (just like there is an option to increase the notification text size). Please please please implement this…
Also, it would be nice to have the option to make the notification text bold (not just the header but the actual content of the notification), which would make it much more visible in certain lighting scenarios.
The screen just isn’t as readable as the other watches I mentioned (and I know that color e-ink tends to look more washed out compared to black and white… I have a color e-ink tablet and compared to a black and white Kindle it isn’t as clear), but with this screen all that you’d need to do is give us the option to have consistently bigger and readable fonts system wide. This is the one thing that is preventing me from keeping this watch on all the time… I hope you guys see how helpful this would be and can implement this (especially for us OG pebble users who probably have worsening eyesight as they age).
