For some reason I can’t have a third size for the TTF font I’ve used for a face. Just having a third entry in the manifest causes an error during build, even if I don’t actually use it. I’m pretty sure I’ve added it correctly given I’ve done the operations many times now in other working faces.
So I’m dropping back to punt and using a system font. Gothic-Bold in this case.
Is there a list of all the current system fonts? I found a reference doing a search on the internet, but I can’t tell how old the list I found might be.
Probably won’t solve my problem with this particular face since the font I want to use probably doesn’t match anything a sensible person would put in a list of system fonts. ( Garfield-Bold.tff ) but it should come in handy later.
Meanwhile, my well meaning effort to replace 7 images with static text to change the word I want to display with one image I write over with text called from code has hit a dead stop.
Switched out imported fonts with system fonts to see if that dealt with an issue on one of my faces. It worked, but under certain conditions the face was rebooting the watch.
Seems to have worked. Looking at the list of system fonts I had bookmarked I had a minor issue. The keys listed aren’t exactly what the Javascript environment is expecting. FONT_KEY_BITHAM_30_BLACK
for me would turns out to be Bitham-Black, 30. Simple enough to figure out with the existing examples and only required a retry once or twice to get the names right for the various fonts.
I second the several requests for a larger list of system fonts. I had roughly the sizes I needed but not exactly what I would have preferred. If memory on the watch is such an issue that I keep running into it, any and more built in smaller foot print options would be a good thing.
