I want to display the “next” event from the subscribed calendars on the phone app. (I know I can’t access the timeline). Is there anyway without forcing the user to subscribe to the calendars separately on my setting/companion?

I’m very interested in this topic too. I got my pebble time 2 yesterday and the first thing i miss from my old watch is the display of the next event(s) on the watchface. I know there are watchfaces where you have to add an ICS link. But I wonder if there’s another way as the information is already there in the timeline.
Does it not show up as a timeline pin for you both? It’s supposed to 
yes, it does. But that’s an additional keypress. I’d prefer to see my next appointments at a glance.

Ah. That won’t work without a companion app, watchapps and faces are not allowed to see timeline pins.
