I recently created a watch face using cloudpebble for the first time, but I thought it might be a little too casual for work use.
So I thought if I could automatically change the watch face design when there is an event on the timeline, I wouldn’t have to worry about anything when I’m working.
Can pebble see whether there is an event on it’s timeline? If pebbleOS has such function, I want to use it to my watch face.
By the way, I know there is a feature that links to Quiet Time in conjunction with the calendar. Quiet time is good. It can sync with calendar aware. But quiet time is used while we sleep. That help me having good sleep, since I don’t have any notifications. However I would like to get notifications when I am working.
I don’t think you can get other timeline pins. You could make a companion app that gets your calendars and change the watchface config based on that. You could also use the unobstructed area api to check if a timeline pin preview is present, but those only show up like 15 minutes before a calendar event starts.
Why not just set the watchface at a specific time instead of looking for calendar events? You can check if it’s a weekday, then check if the current time is within normal working hours, then set the face style based on that

I did consider setting the time through the mobile app, but I didn’t want to overcomplicate it, and there are plenty of times when a casual watch face is perfectly fine for work. I wanted a more formal watch face only when I’m meeting with clients. Otherwise, I just want to smile at my Pebble
I might just have to manually enable quiet time mode. A companion app goes a long way.
