I’m on Android with PT2. I’m 24/7 365 on call. I have the lot of all the chat apps my org uses to communicate. I want those notifications on and sent to my PT2 during weekdays + shift hours. On off hours/weekends, I don’t want any of those sent to the watch. They still need to go to my phone just in case so I can’t just pause the apps.
This forces people to actually evaluate if something is worth placing a real phone call to the on call engineer rather than just sending a chat message.
I’ve been trying to see if this is currently something that can be set up, but I am not seeing where it can be done in the app today?
This sounds like something that would be good to be able to automate externally, instead of making it just time-based. If the Pebble app let you send Intents that configured all this, you could then do whatever you wanted with either a custom app or Tasker or something
On iOS, the new Pebble app exposes a few actions to Shortcuts. One of these is a notification filter, allowing you to set notifications to All On, Phone Calls, or All Off. Another Shortcut available is to Mute or Unmute an individual app’s notifications.
Using the Shortcut’s Automation feature to run these Shortcut flows to Mute work apps on the weekends, or Unmute all notifications during work hours, etc., is currently possible using the new iOS Pebble app and a bit of experimentation/elbow grease.
