Hi folks - getting increasingly excited for my batch 2 shipment coming sometime this year, and already trying to prepare for the inevitable loss of the charging dongle - my kickstarter PTS helped manage my ADHD brain before I was even diagnosed, and nothing since has been anywhere near as useful, but when I get my shiny new life sorter it will only be of use if I can keep a charge in it and I know my limitations - can anybody point me in the direction of a reliable source of backups that will ship in/to the UK?

The easiest may be to order extra dongles when you get your address and order confirmation email as described in this blog post.

just get a generic 2 pin it will work I used the one that comes with a CMF watch (by nothing) and used it on my Pebble Round OG and it worked.

You can also get chargers specifically for Pebble off eBay or Amazon. Just make sure they’re not for the Pebble Classic, that’s the only charger that’s different from the rest

The OG Pebble and the original Steel both used different chargers (from one another as well as from anything afterwards), for what it’s worth. Definitely look for something marked clearly for Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel, Round, or Pebble 2!

Worth noting - I finalised my PT2 order last week, and the chargers were not available for inclusion with device orders as they were out of stock (but could be purchased separately on repebble.com, with I assume a separate shipping fee)

Ah, I just learned that there’s a shop.repebble.com store and a store.repebble.com store. They’re apparently different and they look completely different too. This is so stupid. Try going to the site on your phone maybe? I can get all the way to check out. I’m not interested in buying more chargers, but it appears that it lets you.

I thought the charger configuration was the same as the old pebble (with the exception of the OG / side charging). There’s loads of third party charging cables available on eg Amazon. Many listings even talk about Pebble 2 Duo specifically, so I expect they’re correct.

Thanks all - my batch 2 red & black one came yesterday and I actually lost the watch temporarily before I could put a strap on it (found it fairly quickly, fortunately and I have fallen in love all over again )
I am looking now at extra charging cables and there are indeed a few already listing pebble compatibility - they’re sitting quite high in price compared to the generic ones, hopefully there will be cheap but good options available soonish

Just get one marketed as a charger for the Pebble Time. The old one. They’re compatible with all the new watches

ebay in the UK is listing them at around the ten guid, delivered, mark.
Given a PT2 will last weeks on a charge, and the charger it came with is tethered to my bed side light (where my phone goes every night to charge), not going to rush out and buy one.
Not sure you can expect them to get much cheaper than that ?

I guess this is the difference between the old Pebble actually selling through shops (I remember being so weirdly proud when they were selling my Kickstarter geek watch in the airport Dixons electronics shops) and Core offering them in the low thousands to geeks again - I remember being able to get a couple of PT chargers for a fiver back then…
