Pebble 2 Charger

Hey all,

Anyone else have consistent issues with their charger staying connected to their Pebble Time 2? It’s very finicky for the magnets to stick and the pins to make contact and charge.

Has anyone come up with a charging block or stand to alleviate the issue?

Hi, depending on its thickness, the cable can sometimes be a bit tricky to work with, but apart from that I haven’t had any problems so far.
Someone here has 3D-printed a stand, but I can’t say how good it is.

Another option is buying a charging wire for any Pebble except for the Classic and Steel. The ones that are full wires are usually floppier than standard USB cables and generally have stronger magnets too.

The most lowtech solution, but… take the straps off and fix the charger in place with a rubber band:

A Pebble 2 with the straps detached and a rubber band wrapped around it from top to bottom to hold the charger in place

I haven’t had any issues with my PT2, but sometimes I found it works better one direction than the other. I had to use one of those branded giveaway chip clips every time I charged my P2 for the last few years of its life, so maybe try that instead of the rubber band trick :wink:
