'Send email' multi-integration

Hi team, I’ve just received my Pebble Index and am loving it so far. I’d like to send my reminders and notes to my todo list of choice (in my case OmniFocus) and wanted to suggest an idea I’ve come across before from the Braintoss app:

A huge number of todo apps (e.g. Todoist, Trello, OmniFocus) have a feature where you can send an email to a unique email address created for your account (e.g. timwis.sdf562j3hg@todoist.com) to create a todo. It will make the email subject the todo text/title, and the email body goes in the description. And most of them support attachments as well.

This means apps like Braintoss only need to implement outbound email, and let the user pop in whatever unique email address their todo app of choice provides them, and suddenly they ‘integrate’ with those todo apps. Pretty cool!

In Braintoss’ case, they use the native mail accounts on the OS, but we could also allow using email APIs like smtp2go.com (generous free tier), postmarkapp, mailgun, etc. if that’s not straightforward.

So to sum up, I’d like to suggest an ‘integration’ for sending a note/reminder as an email, as a means of offering a basic integration with a large number of popular todo apps ‘for free’.

I’m a software engineer and would be happy to have a go if that’s helpful, but thought I’d check whether there’s interest, and whether something like this may already be in the works.

Thanks!

Tim
