Look, it said on the order page delays are expected. I’d be disappointed by another delay but I’d totally get it.
What I don’t get is why just in the past week or two Eric here on the forums and the team on X have confirmed that Round 2 is still on schedule to ship most units by September. It’s abundantly clear this isn’t happening. Confirmation emails haven’t even gone out yet. With PT2 it was about 14 days after confirmation email that they would ship. So it seems wholly unrealistic that any (let alone a majority of) Round 2s are shipping this month with 5 days left.
A few weeks ago I saw Eric and team saying everything was on track for the September timeline. I got excited. The confirmation emails were imminent! But they didn’t come. So then I figured there would be a delay. Dang. We’d hear about it any day. But the delay announcement never comes either.
The delay isn’t the issue. I’m just completely baffled as to why Eric hasn’t just come out and said “Hey sorry guys, we’ve run into a minor production issue and the timeline is going to have to be pushed back to early November. I know you’re all excited to get your Pebble but we want to make sure we get this right.” - or something to that effect. It just seems like a completely unnecessary and confusing self-own to not just be forthcoming about it. Some will be angry as always by any and every delay, but I feel like baffling silence after days earlier confidently confirming they’d be going out this month is enough to irritate even those of us who have been patient to this point.
Just looking for a bit of clarity on what’s going on with our orders…
