I have a Pebble 2 Duo. Today, the screen suddenly went totally blank (white) and I can’t seem to revive it. Curiously, literally everything else about the watch seems to be working perfectly.
- It buzzes when notifications arrive.
- It is connected to the Pebble app and communicates fine with the app. My phone seems to be sending and receiving data from the watch without any issues.
- When I use the Screenshot feature of the Pebble app, it succeeds and takes a screenshot of what I would expect to see on the screen (a notification, the watch face, etc.). So whatever is making the screen blank is happening past Pebble OS’s screen buffer.
I have tried rebooting the watch several times, but it doesn’t seem to help. I can sometimes see the “Pebble OS” splash screen very faintly (white on very light gray) during the reboot process.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any chance this is a software rather than hardware issue? I know the Pebble 2 Duos are not being made any more so I’ll be very sad if this is the end of the road for this little guy. We were just getting to know each other!
The watch is running the latest Pebble OS (v4.23.0) and I am connecting via a Pixel 7 running Android 17.
