Depending on which menu/submenu you are in on any Pebble, you have multiple clicks of the left hand button to return to the watchface.
Its not only a bit annoying…but, it adds a LOT of extra wear and tear to that button over years of use.
Perhaps not for the OG Pebble & Steel or Time/Time Steel, but for the new Pebbles:
Can the OS be modified in a future version where a ‘long hold’ of the left hand button will bring the Pebble back to the watch face from any menu or app?
Holding down the left (back) button should already exit all the way to the main menu from any app/menu. And from there it’s one more press back to the watchface. Has that changed with the latest watches? (I’ve got a PTR on so i can’t check on a P2D)
I would like the button to still be selectable for whatever purpose you want, just make that an option. I currently have it assigned as the past timeline.
Excellent idea. A single long press of the Back button to emulate multiple Back button presses, gets the same thing done but requires less input from the user.
