I have Pebble Time 2 and iPhone 16 Pro.
Sometimes pebble “disconnects” from Bluetooth of the iPhone. It shows disconnected button but it still receives notifications and everything. Pebble app can communicate with the watch etc. Just the icon changes. Turning BL off and on again on either or both sides does nothing. Only way to fix it is to forget the phone on pebble, forget the pebble on phone and re-pair them again.
Could you do me a favor and submit a bug report in the app? Settings > phone > get help > new bug report
Done, bug reported. Thank you.
I have run into the same problem as reported above. I did do a Forget Device and PT2 Factory Reset but even after all that the BT icon problem occurs. I am running a PT2 paired to an iPhone 14. I will monitor this thread for additional information and help.
I also wanted to add that if I go to the Pebble app on my iPhone and tap on the watch face that is running the BT icon reappears for a bit before it shows the disconnect status again. As the original post said the pairing is intact as I receive notifications, etc, it is just the BT indicator that shows off.
Just so Youngblood ut does the same for me. To fix the icon:
On pebble:
- go to settings → Bluetooth and forget the phone
On phone:
- go to Pebble app → Devices and disconnect and forget the watches
- go to phone Settings → Bluetooth and forget the watches (they get remove from Bluetooth device list)
After you have done these do back to Pebble app and “add watches” and re-pair them
I performed the steps summarized above (including a factory reset) and the problem with the Bluetooth Icon appearing off still occurs.
One thing I noticed is that when the BT Icon is off, if I go to the Pebble app and tap on my active watch face’s icon, the BT Icon turns on for awhile before it goes off again. I presume when I tap the watch face icon in the Pebble app it must send a handshake signal to the watch and this in turn wakes up the Bluetooth Icon.
I also submitted a bug report now. I wonder if this is an Apple iOS - Pebble OS specific issue?
I have resolved my version of the Fake Bluetooth Icon Disconnect problem now. When I exited the Pebble App on my iPhone I would flick up the app. This basically does a Force Stop of the Pebble app which in turn breaks the Pebble app to PT2 connection. Once I stopped doing this the BT Icon on my watch face remained active. I hope this helps others who might have run into this problem. Sigh, user error ![]()
