I’m not sure it’s possible, but it’d be nice to be able to tell Pebble OS “please increase dynamic backlight in this lighting”. I would hope you could make relative adjustments based on that. While I find the backlight a bit on the weak side at max, I’m “ok” with it. But it feels like dynamic seems to be 10% or 100%… no inbetween (or rare).
I’d honestly just take the battery hit and leave it on 100% and turn off dynamic… except it actually is pretty glaring at you in the dark when you wake up 
Right now I’ve got the Ambient Sensor on and the Dynamic Backlight off with the intensity on the highest level. That does work okay for me, but I do feel like the backlight is coming on in too good light conditions, wasting battery life.
Tbh I’m pretty sure the Ambient Sensor setting does nothing at all unless the Dynamic Backlight is enabled as well.
With the Dynamic Backlight on I just can’t read the menus in dim light at all. With a larger font (as discussed in another topic), that might work, but as is that is just not an option for me. I’d be forced to wear my reading glasses all the time, just to be able to use my watch.
Yes I think that dynamic backlight works the oposite way it is supposed to - in a completely dark room, ambient sensor showing 0-6, the backlight is at 10% regardless of the settings. When I turn on the lights, it goes up to 100% if the intensity set to blinding. But I don’t need it in a lit room, I need it in the dark!
No that’s what it’s supposed to do — the dimmer light in darkness is so your eyes don’t havu to adjust so much
I just want Blinding backlight in my dim living room and Low backlight in total darkness.
I don’t know who came with the idea to call it “blinding” when in reality it’s about as bright as my mobile in almost the lowest brightness. As someone pointed out, I’m also going to need my reading glasses every time I’m looking at my Pebble indoors or in low light conditions.
