What are good Pebble apps that I can install to test out my PT2 speaker? I have tried a few, but the sound is weak and distorted.
Good news for me! After finding out that the clock alarms on the PT2 now support 4 different sounds, I set an alarm with the Revelle sound and was pleasantly surprised. A rather loud and undistorted musical sound emerged from my new watch.

I wrote a program that interfaces with gemini to ask questions, just search for “Gemini”. In the response it can speak it back to you. It takes a few minutes to set up to get the gemini and google tts APIs set up, but I have made it so you can test out different voices and audio profiles. You can also adjust the volume as well. The biggest hurdle is that the lowest quality audio still has a higher bandwidth than what the bluetooth supports.
TTMM Alarms uses it. When an alarm fires it opens the speaker and plays a short PCM tone — my own sound, not a system one — next to the vibration and a full-screen alert. On my PT2 it comes out loud and clean, no distortion at full volume. A long press on the bottom button drops it to silent if you only want the visual. It’s a paid app and it installs from my own appstore source, apps.ttmm.is.
