Apps can't seem to get GPS location

Watch faces and Apps cannot get GPS location.

Device: Pebble Duo 2 (v4.9.100 (and also tested / reproduced with 4.9.103 manually flashed)

App: 1.0.6.9 on Android

I have found that recently (since v4.9.100 maybe?) that apps and watch faces are not able to resolve GPS location.

Watch faces:

  • all of the lignite ones, eg:

  • older watch faces, eg:

Apps

  • Weather (Flo Knödl) (https://apps.repebble.com/en_US/application/69275ab359b6bc000a9e33bb)
  • Dribble (https://apps.repebble.com/en_US/application/68f274532342a000096820e8)

All of these apps / watch faces will fail to get GPS location. Some of them let me specify a weather location, which works, but nothing I can do for GPS location will work.

Core Devices Pebble app has full location permissions (background, precise, etc) and the system privacy controls show that the pebble app is accessing the location every minute…

Anyone else having this kind of issue?

I would raise a bug for this, but there is no facility to raise a bug in the core devices app without your phone having a google account associated with it, and I don’t have/use/want a google account on my phone…
