First time uploading an app to the dev dashboard, lots of notes on the process.
Banners when uploading a new app seem to be per-platform, but if you edit the store listing they seem to be for all platforms. The image filters are different between the uploading UI and editing UI. Editing UI allows GIF uploads but converts them to still images anyway which is sad. Uploading screenshots for every platform is tedious. Let us upload a folder with subfolders for the platforms and have it sort everything out automatically. Or just go off of file names to figure out what platform they’re for. The screenshot previews are cropped improperly in the upload UI, they’re fine in the edit UI though.
The app competition leaderboard seems to just pick the oldest platform available when choosing what screenshot to display in the thumbnail. That seems like an odd choice. Also they’re scaled to fill the square instead of fitting to the square which leads to the top and bottom being cropped for rectangular platforms.
