I posted a similar question, but this is a bit more specific.
I think I could get tasker to do something with the current notes tasker interaction since you get the note text in tasker.
I’m interested in knowing, if possible, what is the idea of the developers, if to channel to tasker only the already implemented way or if the buttons clicks may also be a possible interaction way in the “immediate” 
future. I can (only) guess you could save some battery with the clicks, although the currently implementation is of course more general.
After a couple of weeks with the ring I have ended up ordering a pr2 (I was going to stick to the ring only), so I will eventually have buttons aplenty, but the ring button is at reach all the time and so convenient,…
