I was hoping to find information on my topic in the FAQ or here in the forum - but either I’m too clueless to search, or nobody ever switches phones…
I got my new phone today (another Android, just like my old one) and would like to “migrate” my entire Pebble app.
Is there a way to create a backup that includes all settings, watch faces, and apps (including health data and everything else) and restore it to the new phone? What’s the best way to go about this?
The new phone is linked to the same Google account, and the old phone will be decommissioned.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi,
Since you have to/are supposed to (I’m not sure) log in to the Pebble app, your data should automatically be there if you log in with the same credentials you used on your old Android phone.
You’ll then need to disconnect your watch in the Bluetooth settings and then connect it to your new Android phone.
I haven’t tried it myself yet, but nothing really can go wrong, since you can always reconnect to your old Android phone at any time.
Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Thank you both for your help! Actually, it was (something I’m really not used to after 25 years in IT) easier and went much more smoothly than I would have thought…
I had already used Google to transfer all my apps and data to the new phone—and after logging into the Pebble app, my health and battery stats were there too…
