Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a few Pebble users who would be willing to help test my Android companion app Can’s Pebbleton HR Bridge.
The app works together with my Pebble watchapp Can’s HR Sender for Pebble and forwards the live heart-rate value from a Pebble Time 2 to Android, where it is exposed as a standard Bluetooth LE Heart Rate Service. This allows devices such as a Peloton Bike and other compatible BLE fitness equipment/apps to use the Pebble as a heart-rate sensor.
The Pebble watchapp is already available in the Pebble App Store and the complete Pebble → Android → BLE → Peloton setup is working in my own tests.
Before I can publish the Android companion app publicly on Google Play, Google requires me to run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 consecutive days.
I’m therefore looking for Pebble users with an Android phone who would be willing to join the closed test.
You do not need a Peloton. A Pebble Time 2 is ideal if you want to test the actual heart-rate functionality, but Android users without one can still help me with the Google Play testing requirement.
What I need from testers:
- join the Google Play closed test
- install the Android app
- stay enrolled for at least 14 consecutive days
- ideally try the app and let me know if you encounter any problems
If you would like to help: just join this google group:
https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/pebbleton-testers → The app will then soon be avaible
Please don’t post your email address publicly in this thread.
Once I’ve added you, I’ll send you the Google Play opt-in link. You’ll need to join the test and remain enrolled for at least 14 consecutive days.
Thanks a lot for helping an independent Pebble project get onto Google Play!
