There are lots of apps on the store, some have been around for a long long time. Many I used back in the day with my original pebble. However, many are non-functional, yet have high placement in the store. For instance, Notify was a great app and I wish still worked but has not been touched since 2015 and requires a companion app that is no longer compatible with android phones made in the last decade. I wish there was a way to flag an app for removal or archival. Apps that don’t function, should not be listed the way they are. I am also not sure if apps like the Misfit app that hasn’t been touched in 10 years should have such prominent placement.

I find it unlikely this will change, Core Devices made an intentional decision to start the store from the old archive of all the apps. I hope it’ll change but I have my doubts
And that was a good decision. The keyword here is “start” though. No problem with having old apps listed as long as they are still functioning, but why keep apps there that are broken?

Was it, really? Every old app is also available on the Rebble store already, a lot of them patched so that they work again. Core never had enough people to be able to comb through and check which apps worked and which didn’t. Even Eric’s curated list of watchfaces he liked had so many broken faces.

When you browse, I wish the last update date would also be shown under the image, not just number of

The date of the last released version is not an indication of whether the app still works or not. Several of my favorite apps and watchfaces are over 10 years old.

Totally agree but at least we would know if the app was maybe revisited for latest watches of it’s an old app that could have issue. Battery+ is a good example, 6K+ hearts but does not work on PT2.
I prefer such a clue than actually nothing.

Presently, before waisting my time installing old apps, I search the Reddit Pebble forum to find out what others recommend.

Not quite. Emery is the platform target that it filters for. But Emery has existed far longer than the Time 2 has, so apps might be built for Emery but not testedsbuilt for the Time 2 specifically

I agree that the app store needs to be better organized. I think you can keep the old apps, but have a better sorting options, including (as was mentioned) most recent update. It is hard to sift and sort through the apps and watch faces presently. I feel like you have to wade through a bunch of stuff to find what you are looking for unless you know the specific name of the app.
Ah, thank you. Beeing new to pebble I did not know that. That explains why some watchfaces that appear with that filter are 10 years old.
My issue with including the old apps is that Rebble did a lot of work going through and fixing a bunch of them. Those patched versions exist already, on the Rebble store. Just not on the Core Devices store. So especially since Core Devices chose to disable the Rebble store by default in their Pebble app, they just clutter up the store. And if Core Devices chooses to enable the Rebble store by default later down the line, those apps should not exist in the Core Devices store. Because the Rebble ones are patched and more of them work.

It’s not a replacement for repebble, but just a mirror site with more filtering options and the ability to submit a status report for an app. It’s only meant to be a temporary solution until repebble expands its functionality.
I hope I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes here. It was so hot here over the weekend that you couldn’t go outside during the day, so I took this post as an opportunity to develop something 
The apps are updated only twice a day so as not to overload the repebble API. After a sync, the filter at the top always includes “recently added” and “recently updated,” which I found very convenient for seeing what’s happened in the last 12 hours.

Hey this is cool! Full width on PC is much better than what rePebble store display.
What I’m also looking for is filter watchfaces that support Timeline Peek and also show if QuietTime is enabled but nothing you can do here, as they would need to add a checkbox when we submit a watchface and checkmark what is supported.
Maybe your work will inspire Core Devices to do better.
The “made for PT2” filter does not exist on desktop as far as I can tell.
I’ve switched the frontend technology from Flutter to React. Other than the fact that it should now work in dark mode as well, nothing else has changed. If something isn’t working right, please send me an email and I’ll fix it right away.
I see v2.0.3 now, do you list release notes somewhere? I’d like to read what you add and change…
