The size of my Index01 is perfect - above ~20°C… It’s still okeyish at about 15°C.
This morning, when I was walking my dog, it was about 10°C and I almost lost my ring, just because my finger is smaller in the cold.
Maybe I’m a freak of nature, but I guess I’m not the only person with this problem. How do you handle this? Buying a second, smaller ring for Winter? Will I need a third one, if we reach 0°C?
Just to make it clear: This is not a hardware issue, but a wetware problem.
P.S.: The time when I walk my dog is the most important time for using the ring, because that’s where I have my best ideas. (also nobody sees me, if I “talk to the hand”)
Mine was slightly too large from the start. I fixed it by applying 5-10 layers of nail polish to the inside edge over the course of a day, letting each coat fully dry before doing the next, then applied - I can’t remember what it’s called exactly, but it’s like a clear top coat designed to protect the polish against chipping.
It’s durable enough that’s it’s lasted a good few weeks now with no signs of degrading, and it comes off super easily with a little bit of nail polish remover (obviously). Seems like it would be the ideal way to size yours up and down with the seasons.
Amazon has tons of options for ring sizers that can reduce the diameter of your ring. Most are clear plastic that just snap on so you can use them seasonally and remove when no longer needed. One of the better reasons to size up your ring rather than down. FWIW, I have the same issue here in Florida where the drastic use of A/C can cause finger diameter changes as well.
