I have a PT2 (used with Android). Until some weeks ago, I had these quick launch actions:

- Hold Back: Quiet Time
- Hold Up: Backlight

Then, I switched them:

- Hold Back: Backlight
- Hold Up: Quiet Time

When I bring my children to bed, I usually disable backlight. Later, when I want to check the time, I usually enable backlight with “hold back”. This doesn’t work when a notification is shown (what I don’t know because the watch is dark). In this case, the old mapping is active: hold back = quiet time.

Is this a bug?

Quick launch is only for _on_ the watchface, other apps may implement other shortcuts for long presses etc.

Working as designed 🙂

OK, I see. Thank you.

“Other apps” being the notification screen? (Unless Max is using a third-party app to show notifications…?)

I use the default notification screen. I guess, in Pebble OS, everything is an app (watchface, timeline, settings menu, …).

But anyway: It would be cool if I could set a _global_ key mapping (Hold Back = Toggle Backlight, no matter what “app” is visible). Of course, this would overrule app defined key mappings.

This would definitely break some apps, so sadly not possible
