In one of the pre-release videos, Eric mentioned that he uses Hermes with his ring. I’m wondering if anyone has this set up. It looks like Hermes doesn’t support exposing it’s tools as MCP over HTTP by default. I know it’s possible to spin up something custom with FastMCP but I’m wondering if anyone knows of an existing solution.j

Hermes accepts inbound webhook pushes, and Pebble Index supports sending recording data to any HTTP endpoint as a webhook:

2. [Index Advanced Features (MCP, Webhook) | Pebble Help Center](https://help.repebble.com/en/articles/15724406-index-advanced-features-mcp-webhook#h_9be218b88b)

Thanks for the reply! I should have mentioned in my original post that I’ve been using this and it works quite well but it would be nice if I could send _only_ to the webhook instead of also having the regular/default model running. For now, the “duplicate effort” is fine, though.

If anyone is coming across this and wondering how to set it up, I’ve written a blog post, which you can give to an agent as a reference for something that works: [Integrating the Pebble Index 01 with my Hermes Agent | Kevin Lewis](https://lws.io/blog/integrating-pebble-index-01-with-hermes-agent/)

I went a different route after I dropped the webhook flow as unnecessary complexity for my setup.

**Notes flow:** ring → Pebble app → Obsidian note provider → `Pebble/` inbox folder in vault (each transcript a note named `YYYY-MM-DD HHMM`) → Hermes cron `pebble-transcript-processor` (every 3h) routes to `Chores/`, `Projects/`, or `Journal/Monthly/` based on intent. I also selfhost Gotify so Hermes can notify me with summary per run.

- “add a chore” → `Chores/` tasknote, tags `[chore, task]`, verbatim transcript kept in Source section
- “create a project” → `Projects/` tasknote with theme tag + `base: '[[theme.base]]'`
- Addressing Hermes → action performed, result linked in monthly journal
- Rambling/uncertain → verbatim dump into monthly journal day header

**Tried and abandoned:** webhook → Hermes session directly. Worked end-to-end if you host a shim but the everything to notes flow is simpler and keeps everything in the vault.

I use Obsidian as my Todo list, Project List, Journal Notes and pretty much everything text related. So this lets my VM with Hermes which has access to my obsidian vault pick up everything and decide how to route it. And if I address the agent directly with a task it will do it and leave the info in a new note for me.

Similar route here, but into the daily note. The app writes one file per recording, and a script running every minute appends each transcript to that day’s daily note. For questions I use the webhook instead: double-click-and-hold goes through a small bridge to my agent (OpenClaw), and the answer comes back on Telegram.
