From recent posts, it seems touch is not supported yet..

Thats really a bummer and I would add a +1 to PLEASE PLEASE enable touch gestures for at least the latest Pebble Time 2 2025 that actually has a touch screen.

My touchscreen works just fine–make sure you have touch enabled and the latest firmware.

Your touchscreen works to interact with watchfaces specifically? It shouldn’t

Apps work fine with touch - Watch Face however does not.

I can touch the watch face to activate the backlight. Other interactions I have not tried and perhaps are not part of the watch face I use.

That’s not the touch that people are talking about when they say they want touch for watch faces. Backlight is completely a separate mechanism that isn’t controlled by the watch face.

jaywigley - By “touch” support on watch face means that your code can intercept taps, swipes and other gestures.. none of those are supported in watch faces, but there is full support for taps and gestures in apps.

Touch is supported, and I have added it to several apps so far. Try my Maptastic and/or Night Sky apps for panning either a map or the map of the stars and constellations.

Touch is not supported and you haven’t added it to any watchface. You might’ve added it to watchapps but that’s irrelevant to what the post is asking about

In case you’re interested, I’ve patched PebbleOS to enable the touchscreen for watchfaces. Details here:

> [@\[Guide\] Enabling Touchscreen Support for Watchfaces on PebbleOS](https://forum.repebble.com/t/guide-enabling-touchscreen-support-for-watchfaces-on-pebbleos/1741):
>
> Hi everyone! I wanted to turn one of my apps into a watchface but this requires touch to be enabled on watchfaces. By default, the PebbleOS AppLib restricts watchfaces from subscribing to the touch service to preserve battery life, and the kernel aggressively drops touch events that don’t trigger native UI scrolling. If you’re building a watchface for the Pebble Time 2 and want to utilize the touchscreen, you’ll need to bypass these restrictions. I was able to patch the OS and my watchface work…
