I was just creating some animations to go on the store page for my latest watchface. I’d originally setup my capture script to create them in animated WebP format, since it is more compact than GIF and supported by all mainstream browsers. However, I found that the app submission system only supports GIF, JPG, and PNG files right now. I’d love if the site was updated to handle this not-so-new format.
Update: also found that animated PNGs aren’t displayed correctly, although they do pass the upload test. Falling back to GIF now for another refresh.
