I was looking into Time 2 screen protectors other than the Gadgetwraps one (which doesn’t seem to really be tailored for the Time 2, though it’s sold for it) and ran across [ScreenShield](https://screenshield.us/products/3pk-optic-nano-glass-screen-protectors-for-pebble-time-2). Does anyone have experience with these or any of their other Time 2 screen protectors?

I’d like to preserve the touchscreen, which I see on here has sometimes potentially been an issue with tempered glass screen protectors. Before I buy this, I’d like to see if anyone else has experience with them.

What do you mean by this?

Huh, I could have sworn someone posted somewhere that the screen protector doesn’t fit exactly, but I’m probably imagining it 😃

That might be true. I don’t remember seeing it. I’ve seen plenty of people in the Discord server happy with the gadget wraps screen protectors though. They also offer a non-tempered glass version if you’re worried about the touchscreen not working as well.

I can’t speak to ScreenShield, but I can vouch for the Gadgetwraps glass one. Touch works with it just fine. My only quasi-complaint about the GW protector is that I have cracked two of them so far. I say it’s a “quasi” complaint because the screen protector did its job of protecting the screen underneath, which is what it’s supposed to do. I had hoped, though, that the protector would last longer, especially for the price. But maybe I am just overly rough on them (I don’t think so, but who knows?).

Do you happen to know what caused them to crack? Was it something like hitting it on a hard surface? Or just dropping it or something?

Both times it chipped along the edge, like I bumped it and hit it on its side. No drops. I do wish the watch had a raised bezel, as others have commented, for this reason. But the screen protector did its job.

These kinds of comments are exactly what is keeping me from getting a screen protector, honestly. It seems like a significant portion of people has issues with the touchscreen after applying a screen protector (particularly the GadgetWraps one, which seems to be the most popular).

I presume getting the thinner one is better in terms of touch at the expense of not protecting stuff as well…/sigh

Yeah, it looks like people are only having issues with the tempered glass one. The other one is fine as far as I know.

Am on my fifth GagdetWraps protector, all have fit right, the first three cracked and came off very quickly, the 4th chipped at the edge but lasted a couple weeks while waiting for new ones, no issues with touch capabilities with any of tbem. They are kind of a mixed bag for durability, but excellent customer service I must say. Reshipped my order after refunding my money, because USPS dropped the ball with the delivery, and when they ended up delivering a very beat up and opened package and I offered to pay them back for both sets since it wasn’t their fault, they were cool and just let me keep them and the refund.

None of this makes me very confident in GadgetWraps!

Well, I’m a maintenance tech by trade and am very hard on my watches, as much as I try not to be. I’ve had the newest one on for 3 days and haven’t cracked it or anything, the other ones cracked on the first day but it was also the first few days of having a PT2 on my wrist. Haven’t had a watch on for over a year since my last PTS died and those first few days my wrist seemed attracted to anything it could bump up against. So that could be a factor.
