I think we all know at least one person who sends 15+ messages inside a minute. I think it would help to have a “cool down” setting that would pause vibration for N seconds after a notification is received.
I’ve worn a Pebble watch nearly every day since the first kickstarter and this has always been an issue. Would love to have this feature after all these years.
Maybe quietly increment a counter badge while in cooldown/throttled state.

In short, the watch would enforces a configurable cooldown (off by default) that silences vibration and backlight, but still delivers the notification. It has a scope setting (everything / per app / per conversation) and an optional “smart” mode that only starts the cooldown when a burst is detected.
