# Don't want health tracking. But it's already on?

I don’t want the heart rate monitor. I don’t want to set it up.
But even without setting it up, the app says it’s one of the uses of my battery?
Why would it be checking my HR if I didn’t tell it to do it?
And why would I have to go through the trouble of activating it, connecting it to android health, and all that… just to really turn it off?

Doesn’t address the fact that
the App is reporting power use by the watch
for the heart rate monitor
despite never activating or turning it on.
Is the app incorrectly reporting power use?
Or is the HR monitor on and tracking by default?
