Can you help me understand the technical hurdles and a possible (won’t hold you to it) time line to get them up and running?

Does the companian app need to be in the Google Play store?

Pebblekit V2 will be the way to do companion apps in the future. It looks like there will be initial support for Pebblekit V2 in the next app release: [Initial support for the Pebblekit2 by matejdro · Pull Request #26 · coredevices/mobileapp · GitHub](https://github.com/coredevices/mobileapp/pull/26)

You don’t need your app to be published, though sideloading on iOS is kind of a pain. I don’t think there’s any support for a Pebblekit V2 iOS SDK. Not sure if that’s something that’s planned for the future, either.
